Daily Schedule: 4th Day

Last evening we celebrated the Spanish intercultural evening and it was amazing, because we had a lot of fun and a good time.
We learned about the traditions and the personalities which make this country so beautiful.

About the traditions, they thought us some dance moves. We also developed our team spirit through the games that they prepared for us. At the end of the "show" they served us some of their popular foods and also a specific drink called "sangria". Then we continued with a joyful Spanish party.

Day 4, another great experience.

This day was a different one, because we went to visit one of the cities of Romania, called Sibiu.
We were different from the citizens by the T-shirts that were made specially for the project that we run. We were a colorful team that had a lot of fun.

Our first activity was visiting a famous museum, The National Brukenthal Museum. After this we were free to visit the city however we wanted, alone or with the others, for example: the romanian and the turkish team had lunch together, eating traditional romanian food.

In the end everybody loved this day. Even we traveled a long time with the bus, at least we could admire the beautiful nature through the windows. We couldn't have enough of the amazing Sibiu.

Daily Schedule: 3rd Day

Last night it all started with the Romanian team hunt. They divided us into national teams and they split across the hotel. Each one of them assigned every team a different task to complete, let it be dancing, drinking, talking selfies or solving a puzzle. Turkey team won but everyone had fun.

After that it was DANCING TIME!
Our romanian friends showed us their traditional dances and songs. All of them were talented, ages ranged from 4 to 18 years old. For a closing they invited us all on stage to teach us how to dance with them. Highlight of the night was the young Teo who stole many selfies, kisses and hugs from multiple crying fangirls! We drunk Romanian wine and Palinka until the end of the night.

This morning have started with Spanish energizer games like Dragon vs Archer vs Grandma or the Tailhunt, which resulted in the double final Polish winners Zofia and Jurek.

Things were heating up as we divided into groups to conversate and exchange opinions at the World Cafe. Familiar subjects like globalization, minorities, immigration and the impact of multiculturality in human life were the opportunity for diverse ideas and growth. The lack of information and the distortion of truth on the media a.k.a propaganda prevents us from getting the whole picture more than we could imagine. So all in all, it was a truly valuable task which gave us feedback of what is going on for the rest of the world and a chance for reflection. In my personal opinion and from what I have heard today, most people in the world want to coexist and help each other in a positive manner, trying to overcome the dark monsters in their mind like fear and prejudice. They even collaborate to create organisations (NGOs) in order to accomplish bigger goals together. The sad part is that the ones with the most impact and power (governments) seem to be unable to be of essential help or rather opt not to.

Finally we closed our evening learning Romanian history and legends and proceeded to create origami vampires. It was hell a lot of fun and it was something many of us didn't do for about 20 years. Finding joy in the simplest things is beautiful. It was fun, creative and easy and honestly I never thought i could do it so congratulations to myself 😃😃.

Last but not least, the graveyard game has offıcially started so ... "let the killing begin !"

Daily Schedule: 2nd Day

2nd Day on Erasmus+ Project!

The first activities of the 2nd day were another "name game" (two days are definitely not enough to learn them all!) and an activity called "Ţară, ţară, vrem ostaşi!".

Then it was the moment to get in touch with the local people and culture with the "Paper clip challenge".
This activity allowed us to get our hands on the friendly approach of Horezu inhabitants and to test our sense of initiative and the communication skills (especially the body language, since not all the people we met spoke English).
No less important were the teachings within the groups, where we helped each other, exchanged ideas and made our way through a city we didn't know.

The lunch prepared us for the afternoon activities, in which, after one last name game and a dancing energizer, we moved on to talking about the Programme thanks to which we're all here.
We paid particular attention to the Youthpass (a certificate attesting our participation in this project) and to the 8 Key Compentences composing it. If you want to know more about them, click here.

Daily Schedule: 1st Day

Erasmus + project! – arrival day

Project, named as "Getting to Know Each Other", brought us all together in city of Horezu in Romania, where we arrived yesterday.
We are 36 people from Turkey, Greece, Spain, Italy, Romania and Poland. It was a "long trip, short day" for all of us. There is no doubt that we all got tired. We all got to start of something new, such as learning our names, get used to the country and the city.
We have 1 roommate from different countries. My group and I have talked about yesterday's awkward moments, and we got sentences like "Even someone used google translate, it didn't bother us. Clearly technology has a huge impact in modern life."

Erasmus+ Project! – 1st day

In our first day, we have been in activities and games which include team work, get to know each other and remember our names.

We have played games, one of which was called "Hi-Ha-Ho". It was the first game which was kind of hard to coordinate 36 people nevertheless it was fun. We had a flipchart about our expectations, fears and contributions. In order to break the ice, we are given a paper with instructions and tasks. The tasks were so incredible! Here are some surprising tasks: Say "hi" with the legs, break the baloon with a friend by using backs, dance like a ballerina, switch shirts with someone......😃😃😀😋😋😛

We were talking about the group rules, we are even given a gossip box! After the lunch we built a tower out of straws!! All we had was just straws and tapes; however it didn't block us to build a 2.30 metres long tower! The game included team work, cooperation and FUN!
